Mapping Project
This project aims to show my interpretation of New York City using creative medium, such as film and photography. The contents especially focus on capturing the dynamic aspects of the city from an insider's perspective. I specifically chose to explore the streets between Washington Square Park and Spring Street in Soho.

DIGITAL EXPLORATION
I recreated the sensations of the space, people, and objects I've experienced using a variety of digital mediums. These digital mediums include vintage digital cameras and camcorders, iPhone cameras, and film cameras. In addition to these tools, I utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, and other photo-editing platforms to further integrate my aesthetic into the original photo.

TRAVEL VLOG REELS CHALLENGE
Using one of the 21st century's most inevitable social platforms, TikTok, I challenged myself to composite short videos and photographs I took during trips to different cities and create short Vlogs or Reels out of these. The music used for each content was specifically chosen to reflect the sensation I experienced throughout the trip.

Urban Intervention (upcoming..)
I left my home country to various countries, such as Australia, Japan, and USA, at an age of 11years old with an aim to expreience diverse culture and environment. As an international student I always felt there was a thin barrier between myself and my surroundings. Although I never explicitly felt sense of oddness and differences, I definetly acknowledged that I wasn't completely indifferent from my surroundings. Whether it is a cultural value, perception, or physical appearance, I was always a little different from others. To reflect such experience in my artwork, I chose Kimchi pancake and Joe's Pizza, which is one of NYC's most loved pizza, to draw attention to differences within similarities. Kimchi pancake and Joe's Pizza share similarities in color, shape, and its purpose. Yet, the ingredients that go inside Kimchi pancake and Pizza are what that differentiates them.
